Dr. David Pollin
I am a Maryland licensed clinical psychologist with over 35 years of experience. After graduate work at Catholic University, I earned my doctorate from Duke University. I completed my clinical internship from Walter Reed Army Medical Center. I have been privileged to serve the needs of adult clients in Army clinics, in private practice, and in a career with the V.A. Medical Center in Baltimore.
My practice has focused on recovery from trauma, life stressors, and the consequence of disaffirming personal relationships. Distinct areas of treatment include cognitive therapy, positive psychology, and life coaching. I offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a rapid and effective treatment modality for a broad spectrum of problems, issues, and goals. I value therapy and counseling as a collaborative process, driven by clients’ unique pathways towards their towards their cherished goals. In our sessions, we focus on choice, acceptance, and the discovery and, sometimes recovery, of strengths and joys
