Jessica Ogunye, CRNP-PMH
As a first-generation Nigerian raised in the vibrant DMV area, Jessica Ogunye is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a holistic approach tailored to her client’s needs. She brings a unique cultural perspective to mental health care, enriched by her military service and a deep understanding of cultural beliefs and values. As a prescriber, she is here to educate you, manage your psychiatric medication, and facilitate comprehensive mental health assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.
Jessica earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Marymount University and her Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. Her nursing career began in 2016 at the Johns Hopkins Hospital with psychiatric experience in TMS, ketamine infusions, sleep studies, schizophrenia, and autoimmune encephalitis in pediatrics. She is a crisis prevention intervention instructor and spearheaded psychiatric nursing clinical trial competencies at the National Institute of Health.
She is trained to diagnose and treat various mental health concerns with a primary focus on anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, and sleep disorders. Her approach ensures you will have:

Alejandra Ivey, CRNP-PMH, DNP
Dr. Ivey is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Master’s and Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Ivey has previously worked in inpatient treatment of mood disorders at Sheppard Pratt and has over 2 years clinical experience in outpatient care. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions across the human lifespan.
Originally from Wyoming, she is from a diverse cultural background, an LGBTQ+ ally, and a military veteran of six years. She has many hobbies and interests that include sewing, crafts, reading, spending time outdoors, and caring for her pets. Her variety of experiences, training, education, and interests allow her to provide inclusive holistic care to patients.
She sees patients exclusively via Telehealth and accepts most major insurances.
Helen Metkowski CRNP, PMH
Helen Metkowski is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who treats children, adolescents, and adults. She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from York College of Pennsylvania and her Master's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Drexel University.
Helen has worked as a mental health/psychiatric nurse for 8 years in various settings including inpatient, outpatient and the emergency department. Her previous workplaces include Johns Hopkins, Johns Hopkins Bayview and Sheppard Pratt. Her training includes diagnosing and treating various mental health disorders in both adults and children including ADHD, Bipolar disorder, Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and more. Helen believes that patients should play an active part in their treatment plan and that treatment decisions should be made as a team. Her goal is to advocate for her patients and tailor treatment to meet each individual's needs. She accepts most major insurances, is skilled in telehealth, and has openings for new patients.
Ifeyinwa Maduka, DNP, CRNP-PMH
Dr. Ifeyinwa Maduka is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 4 years of experience. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama and a Doctorate from Chatham University.
Dr. Maduka has worked in a variety of mental health settings, including outpatient clinics and intensive outpatient programs (IOPs). She specializes in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each individual’s unique needs, incorporating cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based techniques.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys reading, walking, volunteering at community service events, and providing subject matter expertise and mentorship to colleagues. She accepts most major insurances.
Amanda Ismail, CRNP-PMH
Amanda Ismail is a board-certified registered nurse practitioner specializing in psychiatry and mental health. She has a Bachelors in Nursing degree from Frostburg State University and earned her Masters degree in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University’s Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
She began her career as a registered nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and has trained and worked in mental health in Assertive Community Treatment, inpatient, and outpatient settings in the Maryland/DC area. She is trained to diagnose and treat various mental health issues with a primary focus on medication management for adults with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. As the daughter of a Korean immigrant mother, she prioritizes the role culture plays in relationships and mental healthcare.
She currently only sees patients via telehealth and accepts most major insurances.
Mitchell V. MATHIS, md

Dr. Mathis earned his doctorate in medicine from the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. He was trained in Family Medicine at Malcolm Grow USAF Medical Center and in Psychiatry at Walter Reed U.S. Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He has been practicing outpatient psychiatry in Howard County since 2006. Dr. Mathis is currently not accepting new patients.

Genevieve Shaeffer is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. She has over 5 years experience in the mental health field, including working as a psychiatric nurse in both the inpatient and Emergency Department setting. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and both her master’s degree and post-master’s certificate from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She has a passion for the outdoors and brings a holistic, patient-centered approach to psychiatry. She is currently not accepting new patients.
Linda Zetter, CRNP-PMH, DNP
Dr. Zetter is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has over 15 yrs experience in the mental health field. She has worked in the Veterans’ Administration caring for veterans with serious mental illness, PTSD, anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder. She has managed acute care patients in an inpatient setting as well as working with the geriatric population. She has a Masters Degree from the University of Maryland and a Doctorate from Chatham University.
She also is trained in multiple models of psychotherapy and family therapy offering an integrated and specialized patient-focused approach. She accepts most major insurances.
